Mod podge
« on: December 14, 2020, 09:07:15 am »
Has anyone used mod podge to seal a bow? My wife just bought some for crafts and it says it is a water based glue and sealer. Dries clear and can sand it smooth. Comes in gloss, matte, and even glitter : )

I'm pretty sure Mod Podge is just basically PVA glue. An expensive way to seal bows.

Is it water and weather resistant? There are too many other proven sealers for bows to use.

I was just curious if anyone had any experience with it. I have no idea how durable it is. It's 13 dollars for 32 oz so that's as cheap or cheaper than spar varnish and try oil

How much varnish do you use, maybe an ounce or less per bow?

I don’t know but lazy Arvin has been using no runs, no drips, no errors. Krypton  Specialty Lacquer. So far so good. Arvin
