Any tips for making my first warbow?

I have a very beautiful piece of yew. 80” long with a large deflex in the lower limb. I have about an inch and a half in both width and thickness. Looking to get 100@28”. Was told it should be relatively easy but with the deflex in the limb I’m not positive. Any advice or help?

Pictures would be helpful, but, yew is very easy to straighten with heat; the dimensions of the timber should get you the target weight OK even with the deflex.

I'd suggest get it partly tillered then heat bend to remove the deflex and heat treat it at the same time, to help prevent the deflex pulling back in. That will also help give you some extra draw weight, as it's easy to come in under weight with heavy bows.
