Milk glue
« on: April 27, 2020, 11:45:17 am »
Hide glue is fantastic,  but not waterproof. Casein glue was used for over 1000 years in woodworking, painting, and building wooden aircraft. Its tough and waterproof. What properties does it have that make it unsuitable for gluing lamination, and sinew? Seems like it would be great.

I don't think it's as strong. I don't have the TBB's at hand but it's in there.

I read that it doesn't creep and shrinks when it dries, tighbond doesn't have any of those advantages
