limb thickness flatbow
« on: April 10, 2020, 01:51:37 pm »
How thick are your flatbows in the midlimb area? I wonder if 0.5 to 0.55 inches is to thick. I´m making a flatbow out of black locust right now but I´m much more used to making elbs. Could you help me?

Thanks in advance,

I'd start out at 5/8" and tiller it down from there. There is no specific thickness. It all depends on the wood used, the design and the draw weight.
