Pretty!  I'm really interested in making a lever/mollegebet bow some day.  The are really pleasing to the eye, and I hear they are really pleasing to the hand (and not at all pleasing to the deer).

I enjoy making them I just call them leaver bows because I dont like getting traped in certain dimensions or tiller style , every time I make one of these I learn new things they are fun to make & shoot !

Leaver is a good name.    Does this style work well for softer woods?  Can it be backed?  I ask because I'm very limited on bow woods around here.   I'll probably start with a board bow or three, but I really want to make one from native woods.  That means juniper, chokecherry, serviceberry, or mountain ash if I'm lucky enough to find a straight piece.

Sure I think you could make one out of any bow wood, I don't know why not, I have only made them out of hickory & osage I'm currently working on a sinew /osage one !

Cutty just saw your question this one is 4" handle 1 1/2 fades 8" leavers 65 ntn if I remember right because of my long draw I keep the limb parallel 12" out at a little under 1 1/2" then tapper to Aprox 1" leaver fade & Eiffel Tower some what on the leavers those are starting dimetions & I side tillered & thinned as I tillered really just played it by ear dimensionally ,I keep my parallel portion longer then most to compensate for my long draw !

Thanks Fellas for all the kind words really this bow is just a composite of what I learned around here from so many , I remember when I first came around here I spoted a guy named Beadman and his bows , I was amazed at the reflex and performance he was getting out of them & many bows later Im starting to figure out how to make one after many failures ! But still have many bows to go yet to learn more ! Thanks !
