Great job working that stave into a shooter! But.... am I the only one that is a little concerned about you rough looking back? Would be a shame if you lift a splinter or worse.

Thanks for your comment Leon. Yeah perhaps I could sand it a little bit more... I was afraid of taking too much wood. This scratches were result of reducing wood from back that was concave in this spot. They aren't too deep anyway.

It amazes me at how a determined bowyer can craft a functioning bow out of a stave that looks like it should have gone into the wood pile. GREAT work with equally great results ... thanks for sharing.
