Lunch in the Woods
« on: December 10, 2019, 08:49:55 am »
I went deer hunting with my Grandson this past weekend. We came real close to filling both of our doe tags but that is another story. After the morning hunt we went back to the Poverty Hill lean to and cooked up some lunch. Now nether of us are even close to being good cooks but somehow it turned out good. My Grandson filmed most of the footage in this short video titled "Lunch in the Woods". It was a good day for both of us and I "borrowed" Pappy's saying of Life is Good and put it in the video (Hope he does not mind). Here is the link.

Take care,

Hawk dancer,
The meat was venison from the deer my grandson got earlier in the season, the vegetables were squash and the jar was some of my wife’s homemade applesauce that she made from apples from our apple trees at home. Topped it all off with some instant hot chocolate.

It always seems to taste better when cooked on an open fire. -C-

Sure does!  I do a lot of outdoor cooking even in winter - if the knee doesn't make it hard to get up and down the stairs to the grill!  Home made lunch!  Great!
