I just sealed 12 staves which I splittend out of a 150 piece pile of B L fence posts!!!
The moistermeter shows something around 12 -14 %.
They are already tipped so I cannot use the whole length, probable 58-64".
They splittend like a Dream, even from the smaller side of the post, which I had to because of the tipped thicker end of the poles.
Costed me 18€  ;)
My only concern is if its honey locust!?!
The bark isn't on them anymore so I have just the wood to classify.
Guess a pic would help, try to make on...

Nice work! Nice pics of how you followed grain around those knots, good example of how its suppose to be done.

Just weighted it: 457gramms. I calculated around 530 gramms with steves masscalculation. 8)
