Getting my turkey,,,,
« on: May 02, 2008, 12:50:55 am »
one piece at a time, I guess.

Got a handful of feathers today. Watched turkeys this morning from 5 to 100 yards away for 3.5 hours. Had a hen at 5 yards and later a jake at 5 or 6. Felt like a good shot on the jake but just got some feathers and he walked off and started strutting again for about another hour and a half.
Storms here tomarrow(and have to get some work done!!) so can't wait for Sat to hunt again.

Todays hunt was all the reasons I enjoy hunting.  It was a great day.  Just had to share!! ;)
My son says I shoot a stick with a stick!!

hey good luck lowell.

remember dont let the rain deter you from hunting, turkeys will be found in open fields when its raing out.  so just set up on a tree and field line where you know they visit and you should do alright.

good luck on your buzzard chase. 8)
