New hunting regulation for South Carolina...
« on: July 24, 2019, 08:26:20 am »
Just a heads up for anyone that is going to be hunting in South Carolina this year. I imagine other states are going to be following this path, as well.

I talked to a friend that works at the DNR here in SC, and he said this is going to be high on the Game Wardens list of things to check.

I'm glad to see this, hopefully it drops the proliferation of diseases. I will stop using these products myself until studies show things are back to normal. Thanks for the post.

Never even thought about deer pee being from other places and possibly bringing diseases. Think I’ll stick to using local tarsal glands hung from my quiver, and not the commercial stuff anymore. Even tho it’s still legal here in WA. Ed

Thanks for the info, Chaney. I never liked using scents while hunting except fox urine on my boots but haven't used that for years. I've had more deer run from estrus urine than were attracted to it anyway.
