Tray for a friend
« on: April 20, 2019, 10:14:38 am »
Took a bit of time from the Osage stave to make a tray for a friend, sort of replicating the old wooden cases soda used to come in.  Took a bit of eyeballing and sanding, drilled out the handle grips, and finished with spar urethane.  Got the spalted maple from a pile of off cuts at Wodcraft.  Did learn that the adage " Measure twice, cut once" also applies to drilling screw pilot holes, but was able to save those boards for another project!

Thanks, everybody!  Jacie delivered it and our friend's comment was - it almost too nice to use!  I do hope she uses it, I think it will hold more than she can lift!  Maybe I can restore the original Pepsi case for her, too!
