It is knot a problem... or is it?

Heres a piece of red oak. Just wondering if this knot is a problem in the location it is in. I'm going for a 55" bendy handle. It is 1.75" at its widest point. My goal is 45lbs at 24".

Get those corners rounded off and give it a shot. Looks like it's far enough over from the edge on the back but keep the back and belly edged rounded as you go.

Just try to leave wood around that knotted area and tiller that knot to appear slightly stiffer than the rest of the limb. Jawge

Have you narrowed the tips yet? I can't tell with the camera angle. If you haven't try and keep the knot in the middle of the limb unless of course you can take off enough to eliminate it.

follow the grain around the knot if you can so that the (wood width outside the knot) plus (the wood width inside the knot) totals the same as the rest of the limb in that area.
