You must'n try to identify the tree from its bark, that would be impossible. Instead remember the truth. There is no tree. ;)

Need more info, leaves twigs.....from the bark I would guess willow, but it could be anything.

My first thought was willow too. Take pics of the twigs and buds. that might help. Where is it growing, on high ground along a creek, etc.
