hmm, I say no. But the bow is short and the levers are short. Probably I could get some fps more, if tips are narrower. The effect would be larger on longer bows, or longer levers.

Good reminder that I need to get out and get more cherry bark for backings:)

And yes, no is the best time for harvesting cherry bark and birch bark.

Thanks man:) lol Yeah I haven’t made a full size bow since November. Moving and shop equipment storage has been a pain. Finally getting settled though.
I usually get my bark from downed cherry trees, make a long cut and it just falls off the log no problem:)
Never used it for a handle, but I just might now:)
