First, you can make a functional possibles bag or you can add your personal touch to that bag. For me, the art work makes the bag. I'm a practical person but the additional embellishment makes the piece.  8)   :OK

Good point Pat.I believe that to be true too.Embellishment to the point of compromising function is a waste of time though. No matter what functional craft. It has to serve it's purpose and be durable and perform well.Otherwise it is just a wall hanger.I think a personal story/explanation of inspiration/or history of use should be shown in the design as well in these things.
It's different for those things that are put on display and meant to serve no other purpose other than that.

One more additional pic.A cheyenne lazy stitch was used for the extra arrow heads. That type stitch will lay flatter.I like to use the glass beads weight to hold the bag flap shut.

Look forward to seeing it  . . . in about 4 months!

I hope so Mike. Are you ready for the snow storm coming soon? You guys might get rain though.I've got the tractor chains on/fueled up and waiting. An old fashioned type winter this year I guess. We're supposed to get around 8".That would be ok but it's supposed to blow for the better part of a day up to 40 mph which will makes things interesting.
Went hunting with bag a few times since made and it proved to be handy.Out of the way but still accessible for calls.I think I'm through adding on any more beadwork.A little can go a long ways for embellishment.Too much makes it too gawdy IMO.Since it's a possibles bag I'll use it for practically anything I want to carry along.

Yeah, took one of my extended winter naps.    ???

We'll likely confirm date for The Wright City Gathering shortly after holidays. Will likely be sometime in March. Would be wonderful if stars align and Bill is able to make it . . . maybe bring Clint with ya.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of ya!

Ed, we got just a dusting. I was thinking of you when heard how much some parts of Iowa received. We were in Boston area for Thanksgiving. It was COLD there . . . I mean like 5 degrees cold. Looked on 'puter while there and saw it was 70 at home. GEEEEEZ!

Someone please remind me of this wright gathering in March. I really wanted to go this year but it was my grandson's first pinebox derby and he asked me to help him build his. I'd really like to make it there if I can next time. It looks like my kinda fun.

PS Ed you do really nice work. Alway very functional and just the right amount of embellishment.
