i'm in indianapolis, IN, and would to find a stand of river reed or the invasive alien equivalent around here. anybody have any knowledge of the where-abouts of such a stand?

i was just reading elsewhere, and discovered that i may be to far north. again, any knowledge out there?

I am from n.c. ,we have plenty of arrow reed,(Switch Cane) . You are to far north as you mentioned to have good size canes. Even I have only certain spots that grow good cane and the plant is evey where, go figure?

Rk, Do a search for Arundinaria gigantea on USDA website. You'll find that it is native to southern Indiana but I haven't found it yet.
It is what it is - make the most of it!    PN500956
