Just curious, how many out there make same length limb bows and how many make the top limb longer?

Most of us make them both ways. It doesn't matter in the end if the tiller is balanced and the bow shoots well.

Same length unless I make a mistake. But like PD says it doesn't matter.

+1
I have made them both ways, but I now prefer them the same length.  It's easier to layout, and you don't have to remove as much wood from the lower limb to balance the tiller.  But like Pearl Drums mentions, if it's balanced it will shoot nice either way.

On a d bow,it kinda depends on where you grip it.i have made one where the arrow pass was dead center, but was layed out to have equal limbs.this wasn't part of a plan,it just felt right.i gave it to a friend who has been shooting it for years and he reports it as a beast still.
Some like motorboats,I like kayaks, some like guns,I like bows, but not the wheelie type.

I prefer symmetrical bows because I can see good tiller better.

I like the bow to balance in the hand when carried in the field. balance tiller when the chosen hand hold is established
