FF string building

Getting ready to make new strings for my old fg longbow (45#)(Ol' Glassy) and my Osage selfbow (46#) that I got from Badger ( Transdex). Thought to use FF at about 8 strands. Endless loop. Standard serving on the loops and the thicker FF serving in the nocking area. Ol' Glassy probably won't mind a new type string, but what about the Osage! Is the FF too strong?

You might want to stick with B50 on the old bow.

I always use FF at all self bows, some with 6, others with 8 strands "BCY 452", but always flemish. to save the nocks I give 3 short extra strands in the "ears", never had a problem

Not sure how old the Osage(Transdex) is - the old fg. Is at least 65 years old, but solid fg! The shop owner said in '57 that you could close a car door on it, and then go get your car door fixed after shooting all day. They made tough cars back then!
. Guess I just have to decide what color string I want in B50. Plan to keep both as possible hunting bows. Thanks for he info, any one else weigh in!
