How to ID agatized coral?

So I live in and archipelago. I feel lie there should be some agatized coral here somewhere. What does it look like and where should I be looking (like in general, where does it usually form, not an exact location)? Edit: Is it relatively heavy or light?

I doubt you can find some. You are in the right place but you have to wait some millions years

Well, there is some obsidian in Taal... problem is that it’s at the bottom of the lake

Here in FL it can be found often on the banks or in rivers where it has a tendency to lie in clumps.  I’ve seen where it is still lying in heads or ledges, essentially where it formed all that time ago.  That said, people also dig for it...but that requires the land access and knowledge.

FL coral looks like any other piece of limestone as it’s calcified when you pick it up.  You have to hit it to see if it spalls.  Be hard to tell by weight...

Yeah...I see.  We lived in Makati back in the 70s when I little.

The good thing is that it’s getting cleaned (well, half cleaned). Still, that’s in the urban areas, little chance of me finding anything there (or being allowed to)
