I built a paper birch bow last year.  It ended up being a great shooter. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the yellow birch.

It’s really heavy dense wood. I think this log is heavier than a same size HHB log.

  Yellow Birch is less dense and elastic than HHB.  It's probably just really wet.  Watch it for chrysals. I cut a Yellow Birch years ago and just test flexing a slat had it chrysaling like a piece of pine.

I'm in;

I prefer an RH bow, #40 - #45 @ 27"

I'll be building a board bow from my sugar maple slab, likely an american longbow. Perhaps linen backed.

Appreciate that advice. I’ll drinitely have a backup on the works as well.

I'm in!

RH, drawing anything from under 50 lbs to low 60's or so at 29" (or, 27.5 to the belly of the handle.)

No preferences, make me your favorite bow!

Let me know if my victim, ....er, um, trade partner has preferences.

There is only about a week left to sign up.  If you want to participate now is the time to sign up.

Also, if you are hesitant to sign up because you are from the UK or Australia, please keep in mind that we already have someone from each of these areas that wants to participate if someone else from there signs up.

I would like to, but I just don't have the time this summer. I will be watching with interest, however.

I would, but am still currently trying to rescue a bow (plan C) for last year's trade. My bad-luck streek (if you can call it that. More like human error) Is bound to end soon. I'll just observe this year. If I happen to make one between now and then I might sign it up as a reserve.
Greg,
No risk, no gain. Expand the mold and try new things.

I hope your bad luck streak ends soon.  If it does and you get a bow built, I am sure a reserve could be used one way or another. Feel free to post pictures here as you build it.
