Good looking stave. I do things VERY different from everyone else here so keep this advice in mind. On whitewood like that stave, you want the back to be the wood under the bark. A sharp knife will dig into the wood without care, so I use a dull one to remove bark. I dont want the knife to catch the wood on the back at all. Around the knots, use care, keep them intact just remove the bark. Then lay the bow profile out keeping the knots far from the edge as possible, or better, out of the bow all togeather. The close to the handle they are and centerline of the limb the better.
