Moccasins
« on: May 28, 2017, 02:21:36 pm »
Hey was wanting some feed back on stalking deer. I know some of you wear boots while hunting and some wear moccasins. Was wondering do you start out with boots and change to moccasins when you start your final stalk or just leave boots on or how you do it. Seems like I've becoming more mobile the last few years start in a ground blind and see something a ways away so I try to stalking it was just wondering how other people did it . Thanks
lets get back to the basics

Think if I took my boots off in the woods any deer within miles would run away

It depends on what time of year it is for me. If it's warm and the snakes are out I'll leave the Moc's at home. In the thick swamp brush we unt in you can stalk close to deer, hogs and turkeys. I have taken my boots off and snuck up barefooted, though. Even hunted in Flip Flops.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?
