Osage with knots

My third bow attempt (first 2 were ash), and first of Osage. I love the knot with hole it has, but concerned about it's location. The stave is 71", and the knot will end up about mid limb. Is this feasible? If so, any special considerations other than following the curvy grain? If I were to cut off the knot, the stave would be 61".

Side view. Another issue this rookie will have to deal with is this reflex curve on this end only.

That's doable leaving it on if you want a longer bow.Looks like you left plenty on both sides of the knot to finish it.

Are those layout lines or checks at the tip? Layout I think. Try to keep the knot close to the center(width wise) of the limb.

Thanks, folks. DC, those are checks. The way they're even spaced, I think I'll be able to layout right between them.
