OJAM Pics
« on: April 03, 2008, 02:36:21 pm »
It was good to meet several of my "neighbors" last weekend at OJAM. I was glad to see so many PA folks live around me, and to see people like the Rutter family keeping the tradition going. It made the move to OK a whole lot easier....

Dano splitting a log...

 Doug cutting out a blank...

Dano doing his snakeskin demo....

We did a little pickin and grinnin, of course.....

As usual, I brought a piece to finish, but ended up visiting and helping a lot of first-timers. It was good to see a few I worked with finish and shoot their bows on Sunday.

I am trying to put together a few Okies to make the trip to Tennessee in a few weeks. After all, it seems life is good in the southwest, too....  ;D

Chad, good to see that you're going to be right at home with the good folks in OK.

Chad:  It was nice meeting and visiting with you.  Dad and I had a great time.

I'd team up with you going to the Classic, but I have to travel on to Pennsylvania after the weekend.  I'll see you and the rest of the gang there.

Looks like a good time as usual Chad - wish I could have been there this year :-\. I recognize several faces. Can't believe ya'll got poor Dano doing all the work on that log ;D. Hopefully we all won't be wearing those gloves and jackets at the classic :).

Yeah--- Dano enjoys watching the work more than doing it, but we did get him away from his chair and lemonade just long enough to swing the axe... ;D

I thought Dano had retired!  ::) I've tasted Dano's lemonade and he shouldn't be operating heavy equipment after even one of those.  ;D    Great pics Chad. Looking forward to seeing you again this year at TOJam.     Pat

Recurve: OJAM is usually in March around Spring Break.  This year it fell on Easter weekend so the organizers moved it to the last weekend in March.  It takes place up near Ripley OK (about 10 miles southeast of Stillwater).  This year was my first to attend after reading about it last fall on this site.  Hope you can make it next year.

Cinco de Mayo (SP?).  Actually I think it starts on Friday May the 2nd or even a little earlier according to the posts in the Events section.  By the way some of the guys have been talking, it will all be over but the hangovers by the 5th from the 5th's.  :P
