ipe backed with hickory sounds like what I'm leaning towards. I'll definitely be a lot more thorough with the tiller and much more patient next time around.

I am new to this hobby too and all I ask is my bow not to break! And you managed that even with a small handicap of wood choice. Can't wait to see your future bows

I'm impressed you went laminate with your first bow! great job. You can tell your woodworking craftsmanship from furniture making is shining through. Your tiller will get better with each bow, looking forward to your next.
