Osage Shorty/One 4 the Mrs.
« on: December 06, 2016, 10:02:22 pm »
Yes, I'm posting another, and yes, I do sleep.  ;)

This one's been sitting around for quite a while, but I finally decided to finish it up cause I got some skins from Cipriano in trade (Thanks Cip) and I couldn't wait to try them. Plus, the Mrs. expressed some mild interest in shooting so I was all over that.

It's sinew backed, my first try at using sinew. Being totally inexperienced with this type of bow, when I felt that initial strength the well-cured sinew added I took off way too much wood- Thus the low draw weight. But it's perfect for my wonderful wife!

You really need to work on getting the inner limbs bending same as the last bow you posted, you can see where all the bend is in the unbraced pic. Keep at it and work on getting the whole limb working
failure is an option, everyone fails, it's how you handle it that matters.
