Simson- I found some measurements after I finished this bow and the Smithsonian bow was a little narrower. No data on how thick it was and how far it was drawn. 20" for a 40" paddle bow is far from overdrawn. If you reduced the weight a little you could i'm sure draw it to 24"+.

Amazing replication of a bow from the museum.The whole set up actually.Hard to realize the paticulars that go into making a bow like this.Outstanding job.

Beautiful bow!your in a. League all of your own when it comes to short sinew style!
