Surprise Jon W. bow
« on: October 07, 2016, 10:49:24 pm »
A while back Jon needed a FF bow string.  I made one up and sent it to him.  Today the mail girl brings me a package that looked like a bow.  I unwrap it and find a beautiful Jon W. bow inside.  It is rawhide backed osage and has a D/R shape.  I didn't check the weight but it feels pretty stout at my draw length.  I didn't have anyone to take a FD picture before it got dark today.  Thanks again Jon.  This wasn't exactly a fair trade for a bow string.  I owe ya one.

I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Clint didn't tell the full story. It was TWO strings and a nice piece of beaver pelt. Clint if it's too heavy send it to Mike. He has gotten pretty good at taking weight off the bows I give him >:D

Can't wait to see her bend...she does look stout even at brace.  I like the look of just the nice white rawhide on the back.
