Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

I put out corn to keep the doe around but the corn hasn't been eaten this year like in past years.   I think it's due to the acorn crop.  There's acorns everywhere.  That will make hunting in big woods much harder this year.  But better in the later season.  I sure hope we can get on them when you and Greg are down.

I'm trying guys.  These hot temperatures are making it difficult.  Thursday will be a 2 week stretch that I've only hunted one time.  If a good buck walks by me before that weekend I'll be there  ;)

A new buck has taken over the scrape.  He has showed up the last 3 mornings before daylight to work it.  He's got a messed up rack on one side.  The name Snaggle Rack instantly came to mind when we saw the pictures.  Best I can tell he's got 6 points on one side and 3 on the other.  His neck is starting to swell up.  He should be cruising during daylight soon.

I'm not sure what this spike is doing.  Maybe he's constipated  ;D

The does are checking out the scrape just as much as the bucks are.  I guess they are seeing who is new in the neighborhood and available.

I love checking my camera this time of the year.  I never know what new bucks will be on it.  This is the first time this guy has showed up.  I'm glad to see one out during the daylight.

Snaggle rack showed up again.  He's still nocturnal.

This was a surprise.  We don't see wide bucks very often.  These next few weeks are going to be exciting.

I sure hope your paths both cross. Good luck Osage dandy looking buck. I'm afraid I'm not gonna get any time to get out for awhile.

Someone asked the little buck if he wanted some
corn nibblets. He lifted his tail and said "Afeew!"  >:D
