72# @ 29" Texas Rat Snake

Hi guys,

Recently backed a bow with Texas rat snake skins. 72# at 29", 67" tip to tip, 1 1/8" wide at the fades.  This bow has a little more of a positive tiller than I am used to (slightly more than 1/4"), but it is pretty smooth and the arrows fly pretty straight, so I like it.  Set is very minimal.

Nice looking bow.  I like the red color of the texas rat snake.  I've been wanting to get one of those skins to use on a bow.

I ordered those skins online from a supplier that sells many different species of snake.  Not cheap, but worth it since I had to have something other than rattlesnake for once!

Thanks for the nice comments guys.  You know, I love the skins on this bow but the positive tiller looks off at brace, like it is too much. However, it is quiet with no hand shock and i can be really accurate with it, more than others I've made. Weird huh?

Thanks but that idea to wrap the skins around the side was actually my wife's idea, haha.  Had originally planned to do just the back of the bow but she recommended the sides.  I think it turned out pretty well too.
