I wonder if it would be just as easy to remove as shellac? Just use lacquer thinner instead of alcohol. The price of shellac has jumped noticeably in the last while. Out here in Smalltown Canada there is no place to recycle styrofoam. Using used lacquer thinner would be OK for the ends but I think I would want clean LT for sealing the back. Guess a guy has to try it and see.
