Finally finishing my knife
« on: April 29, 2016, 12:49:47 am »
While deployed to Afghanistan we did a white elephant thing at Christmas, since I was attached with some infantry guys we of course all gave knives. I got some Smith&Wesson knife and the handle was garbage plastic but the blade design was too good not to like. So after a few years of use I finally decided to fix it up. Well fast forward a few months and I finally got the final sanding done today and started oiling it! The woods all came from a trade with Ed(forestfarmer) and another with Tim. I love knapping, but metal work and wood working are my loves.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short. Amen.

I really like that! I recently got a cheap knife kit and put some rosewood scales on it, it was fun, somthing I could do more of.

Really increased the looks of that one. I'm sure whoever gave it to you would love to have it back. I'm sure it feels good in your hand too.
