I also heared quite different opinions about seasoning yew wood, so Iīm also a little bit confused about it.
There is a bowyer who makes warbows and he says that it isnīt necessary to season yew wood longer than 6 months.
On the other hand I heared that someone made a yew bow of well dried but only short seasoned piece of wood. He noticed that the draw weight of the yew bow rised slowly during the next years. Are there any oils or other components in yew wood, that need time to harden?
