Questions...
« on: April 27, 2016, 10:21:46 am »
I've been looking over the categories of shooting in the US Flight Archery link.  Any recommendations for links and such to get a basic education on what's going on?

When it says "unlimited" does that mean that bow weight doesn't matter just the "self" category, for example?

Any conditions on strings and such?

Feel free to inform me...I know almost nothing about the actual competitions.  Love to go and get involved, someday.

Thanks,

Stephen

P.s. Just read the link below on strings...thanks.

Stephen unlimited refers to weight class. In the primitive classes we have a 50#nlimited for anything over 50#.

Broadhead category shooting 125 grain heads?

How many shots are competitors given?  Do they have to be consecutively shot?

There are six shots allowed per round. A competitor may shoot the same equipment both rounds or mix it up and shoot different equipment each round. We have traditionally held two rounds for the broadhead competition, but I would like to try to increase this to four scheduled rounds per day of flight competition.

parnell, the weight of the broadhead does not matter as long as it is at least 7/8" wide and 1" long minimum. The arrow weight cannot be less than 500 grains.
