Silver River points
« on: February 23, 2016, 09:42:24 am »
I chipped out the raw rootbeer point on Saturday and the Georgetown on Sunday.  Neither are done but they are coming along pretty nice.

Also, I should have posted pictures from the knapp-in in the flintknapping section but I put them all into the campfire, so if you haven't, you should check them out.

I think that georgetown could become a sweet Clovis. Looking good!

Great set brother.  Uncooked Rootbeer is the hardest stuff to work.  Even raw Georgetown can be hard.  Its not all the same quality.  Have you ever knapped heated stone?
I think you should flute it also.

I was treating my stuff over a year ago but my toaster broke.  Time for me to go get a turkey roaster.  I've been knapping raw TX rock for a year, now.  I picked up a bunch of treated stuff at the event last weekend and hit it abo last night and I was knocking off mega flakes.  Time for me to treat some stuff and pick up my results.
