If the wood will bend, I'll make it beautiful!

Looks pretty good Mike!
I'm kinda thinking though that the bottom limb seams to be bending more in the fade than the rest of the limb. I like the upper limb though!
Dang Dave, I guess red oak will be king at mojam this year!

just kiddin, lookin good fellas.
Now I gotta make one. I haven't made a red oak bow in a few years. I might just make one for turkey hunting, going to try and feather back it.

And the earth ... shook ... under my feet.

I guess I had better get my butt in gear and get my red oak board boat built before July…

Here's mine at full draw, but still have couple lbs to shave off. Backed with a strip of linen.

My bow is almost complete. Handle wrap, arrow pass, and new string still need to be completed.
Here it is as of today.
Backed it wth linen. So decided a paint job was in order.
These are the most narrow tips I've done.
Had to include the handle for a special CA feller . . . . . .

Thanks guys! Finally got leather wrap stitched on handle and finished arrow pass details.
Am finally shooting it ok. Nock point was too low and was holding it too tightly. Moved nock point up 1/8" and using 3-finger grip. Shot 246 at 3D 30-target last Sunday. That's as good as this ole feller is gonna shoot!
