Ty - Looks like it is bending pretty good.  Agree with Jeff that the mid will need to bend more, but go slowly.  Roy Painter (Roy from Pa) has several videos of trilams being drawn on the tree as he is tillering them if you want to watch some to compare.

I'll certainly check that out!

Otter, that looks beautiful!!! In my eyes I always prefer a slightly stiffer lower limb section and time generally has proven to me on my bows to be right. I like it.
I found many years ago that it is much easier and more rewarding working with those that don't know anything than those that know it all.

Thank you Fred and ajooter...  Yes I liked the way the skins came out... Thanks to Gun Doc and Turtle for telling me and helping me with great advice on how to apply them.... This was my first bow trade and I had alot of fun doing it... Thanks to all of you on here and the encouragement you give. Now I just need to package it up and send it out.... Hopefully I'll get mine soon as well ...can't wait!

Good looking bow, Otter!

I got the stain put on to my bow, just waiting for it to dry... Let it sit out in the humid shop and it stayed tacky all night. Hopefully bringing it in the house will make it dry.

Quick update - 40# at 20" draw, think halfway down the left limb is just a little stiff?

Mud....right limb looks pretty good...left limb looks stiff from the fade at least halfway out...maybe a little further.  I wouldn't pull it any farther until you get that limb bending out towards the tips instead of at the fade.

Thanks Ajooter, will scrape some more, its still overweight and I haven't heat treated it yet but I am happy that at least one of the bows is probably gonna make it!

I have another one for you guys to check out. And I'd love some advice on it.
Right now it's at full brace and pulling 35#@24" and I'm going to go to 31" for safety. I have not heated the belly and it's not taking much set at all. It's got some twist in one limb but I think it'll be ok. How much weight do you guys think it will pick up once at 31"?  I think I heard that it's 5# per inch of draw is that correct?  any way I don't want to take much more weight off so I think I'm going to heat the belly a bit and maybe flip those tips too. I will be putting a belly skin on I got from Cip. Thanks for looking and please give all the advice you can.

Usually 2 to 3 pounds per inch.so at 3# an inch that would put you at 56# @ 31".
