While I was peeling the bark off my black locust stave, I noticed that the inner bark of it was really good for making cordage. Just a tip for all those survival enthusiastics out there.

yes it does. you have to keep it moist as you tie it and then let it dry.kind of like rawhide.so does elm cambium.Tony
