where is iowabow?
« on: January 21, 2016, 11:29:13 pm »
Hey guys I was knapping everyday super hardcore and had like 30 plus micro cut and they started connecting so had to stop so the new skin could replace the old. I started bleeding more easily and this was my last preform. I was just pushing a little to hard. That ring finger really took it hard. Anyway I have about 60 points to notch and a pile of preforms to finish in the next month and need to mend a little before  the final push on this project. Mean while I have been working on shafts for next year's Hunting arrows.

Where is you? From the looks of it, the hospital.

yeah, it doesn't take much.

it's a pain, but i've been using little duct tape tabs on my fingers. i usually have to re-apply, but it helps and my finger tips have almost completely healed.

Looks like Robert Maplethorp took up knapping as a performance art!

Sleek if someone said that i would call BS also its kinda hard to beleive. I have about 200 to finish for this project and i would like to keep a couple so i am going make some replacements. This is about 150 pieces and I have a few more in the garage that need to be finished up only about 50 left to go. I keep finding preforms laying around that I forgot to finish. I am working on a project for a museum.
