Persimmon wood
« on: November 06, 2015, 03:45:36 am »
Anyone out there have any persimmon wood. I'd like to get my hands on a little bit of it.  I was given about 40 walnut rifle stock blanks and am getting more soon.  I know it's not quite bow stuff but if you have another hobby and building gun stocks is it and you have some persimmon than let make a deal please.  Thanks Tim

I just chopped a 3 story tall persimmon tree and staved it up! It has already started to twist after just two weeks so word of advice, make sure the stuff you trade for is seasoned. I'd give you some, but it is in Taiwan where I live. Have you tried ebay? I noticed there were some really clean persimmon staves up for bid in a set of three a while back. Just a thought.

I'm not really looking for staves. Just smaller stuff.  Tip overalls and such!

I have a 2.5x2.5x18" chunk, but I don't have any need for walnut stocks. Got anything else?

Do you have a picture of the walnut. I have some persimmon I could spare. It's got no color just plain yellow.
