Glued up and floor tillered.

The grain run out that was concerning me last week was not a problem at all. Yesterday I was able to cut the fishtailed splice by hand with a hacksaw and glued the billets together with Resorcinol. This morning I made another barrel of spoke stave shavings and have a floor tiller.
Your comments and tips always welcome.
Thanks

Great lookin splice, I've seen some that were done with a band saw that don't look that good. Keep up the good work.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the splice would be done the other way, with the flats of the splice towards the back and belly.

VB, The splice runs perpendicular to the plane of the bow. Pat
