Three weeks is plenty of time for me.

This is my first trade. Do you typically wait until names are drawn to talk to the recipient to find out spine weight and length?

Kid you can wait until you find out who your recipient is and make specifically for them or make one of your typical arrows to send. I'm making a hill cane primitive arrow for my recipient...not knowing who he is or what he shoots.

I'll go ahead and start on a couple different ones and see what happens.  I have a bunch of dried shoots I haven't touched since my boo arrived. I have some arrow wood, wild rose, and salt cedar. I'm really curious about the salt cedar, I've heard good things if you can keep it from checking.

My knapping skills are virtually nil. I've only had one success in 30 or so tries. It's kinda fun so I'll keep trying, but I'll probably go with a ground slate, ground bone, or cold forged stainless as a back up. Yard sale spoons make great broad heads if you don't mind a little metal work.

JoJo......... wall hanger or one you could use to kill a ten point buck, or use at 3D shoots. that's what this is all about.  My goal is one that shoots good from your bow.. .... No better feeling that an arrow that I made to help someone with a bow kill or shoot a high score.   :)

I'm in. Nothing better than an arrow exchange. I'll do one of my hill cane shafts that I got from Pat.
I found many years ago that it is much easier and more rewarding working with those that don't know anything than those that know it all.
