turky fan fletching?

will the feathers from a turkey fan work for fletching? ??? i got some and wanna feather fletch a carbon shaft i got. just wondering if anyone has tried it.

CARBON......whats the Matter with you......CARBON!!!!!!!!!...................yeah they will work just fine...cut them loose...and slit them....sand the Quill down flat ...and glue them up like any other Turkey Feather >:D

yeah, carbon, i know. i just got alot of em and i need something to replace the wooden arra i lost the other day. its just untill i get a ride to collect rivercane. thanx.

ok. no carbon. just discovered that i practicly live in the middle of a freakin arra forist. sourwood. gonna go get a truckload of it now. later.

id be glad to, but i aint to good at collectin shafts. i just cut ALOT of stuf that looks like it could eventually be turned into something usefull. lol.

The tail feathers work fairly good-just be sure to use feathers from the same side of the tail on the same arrow.

Find the center of the Fan....cut em loose...and make sure that you keep the left and right seperate...and you should get enough to do 10 two Feather Fletched Arrows....or 6 three Feather Fletched Arrows with two feathers left for decorations!!

do one fletched arras even exist? i am watchin a documentary on navy seals. i wonder if they use bows? a bow is the ultimate stealth weapon. silent, light, the only prollem its that once ya stuck someone, the arra would point back at ya. i guess ya would have to stick and run eh? :P

The arrows Bob posted in his "...Seminole..." post are one fletch...turkey tail feather inserted in a split cane arrow with sinew wraps to hold it all together.     Pat
