Ok guys. I'm going to attempt a Boo backed Black Walnut. And I want to use the heartwood because I think it'll be pretty ;D. I need any pointers I can get.

I've done maple and hickory backed walnut, but not bamboo. Quarter sawn 3/16" maple and quater sawn 1/8" hickory have both rendered good results.

Black walnut and bamboo goes well together.  Try to keep a 4-1 ratio of belly to back so not to overstrain the walnut belly..Try to keep the bamboo 1/8th or less, for a 50# bow I'd use 1 1/8th limbs 68" ntn..or close to these numbers. I'd glue it up with an inch of reflex..

The dense heartwoods may yield a bit more poundage with these numbers, but I'm sure than won't be a problem. I used to make lots of these bows, and  collect staves of the local walnut when I can..
