Great. I some how wound up with that block of chert on my deck.
The real cool thing about it is the rings. Not concentric but spiraling.
I am thinking an ammonite, nautiloid type creature fossil.

Kentucky black as you guys say. I never heard of it until today.
It knaps very well except for the bias of the rings. Very sharp.
