I couldn't make it to the Classic like a good boy.
So I stayed home and got devilish.

Cool... tree deity?
I like the 'Green Man' we get in the UK carved into churches by mischievous stone masons hundred of years ago.

Buddy, that has to be the Virginia Mountain Juniper. Alias the much maligned as a bow wood, ERC. It is very well done. That old man does look devilish. Great job, JUMA.

Thanks fellas
Bubby can't wait to see your carving.
This devil is Virginia red cedar or juniper as the Chief notes.
The base is spalted maple for contrast and weight to offset the
horns and wild hairdo. I have had that root for many years and
just got tired of seeing it doing nothing on the deck.
Del, I'll have to look up the Green Man. I'm thinking Flint LOL
