Wedges
« on: April 18, 2015, 02:30:24 pm »
Been doing some splitting, and I've got some white oak wedges from a buddy. They did alright till I started in on the Osage. They are not recognizable now. I've heard opinions differ on steel vs wood wedges, but I'm not really sure what the difference would be, other than durability. Anyone want to chime in?

I use steel wedges on osage and any white wood that I split.  I haven't had a problem with them.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I use steel wedges on whatever I'm splitting.
