One pair showin
« on: January 14, 2015, 09:34:28 pm »
Hey guys,
Any ideas about my lastest gift?
These are from near the Manitoba border.
I was hoping to get some ideas about preservation and use.
I am far from Helena and hope to have some good info for her
when I return north.
Thanks you all

Remove the bones and tan them with a tanning kit, then use them to decorate a quiver?   :)

How to Cook It?  200° for 24hrs then 275° to 500° for 4hrs (depending on type), Cool for 12hr

My Brother and his wife used to do a lot of shell diving, and they had some nice displays, and had some shovel, and rock lobsters preserved, and displayed.  He would just inject them with formaldehyde.
