I was reading somewhere about someone (Mongols maybe?) who had conical nocks on their arrows, quite similar to how some do before gluing plastic nocks on, with a ring of some sort on the string to receive it. I cannot for the life of me find where I was reading this. Anyone know anything about them and/or have some sources to read up on? I sort of want to try it. Partially to simplify my arrows, partially to stand out like the sore thumb I am, partially to prevent my enemies from using my arrows against me when I inevitably have to wage war with primitive weapons.

PS My first thought was to find the forum about strings, since I mostly have been thinking how to serve a loop in the middle of a string (think I've got it) but there isn't a forum for strings?
