A Coleman camp lantern makes blood jump when tracking at night. That always worked best for us.
Put peroxide in a spray bottle. Peroxide bubbles up on contact with blood so that will also help.

A 4 or 5 D cell led light usually, I have a pack set up for night tracking and it has a pretty good assortment of lights Battries/toilet paper/chem lights/knife/saw/compass and drag. ;)Everything you need for a long night time track. :)

I use a small streamlight Stylus LED.  Last year I traded for a Streamlight tactical LED.  It is crazy bright but burns through expensive batteries quickly.  I bought a small LED headlamp to try out this year.  I keep a backpack loaded and ready to go just like Pappy.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I use a Coleman blood tracker led! Best birthday present I ever got! Makes the blood show up like you see on NCIS on TV! 3 AA batteries. Has lasted me at least 3 trailing session till around midnight. Plus it has a blue-green setting that won't spook game on your way to the stand. Also a plain flashlight setting that's super bright! Worth the 40 bucks it cost to buy!  Patrick

I have a little LED light that has the ultra violet light, and it shows blood up really well.  I got it a gun show a few years back.  My Girlfriend has one that is a handle type ultra violet LED light.  It works well also, she got it for looking pee spots from one of her dogs.

My family and I have used Coleman lanterns for years with good success. I usually carry one of those high intensity LED lights as well. They seem to work really well.
